I think I speak for everyone when I say lounge wear, tracksuits and pyjamas have been the go-to everyday clothing. Although not as exciting as your normal attire, it can still be fun and fashionable if you know where to look.
At the moment lounge wear is one of the biggest money makers in the fashion industry, which I don’t believe is a surprise to any of us. I want to take a deeper look into some of my favourite brands and how they can become an exciting item in your wardrobe. Free People is one of the biggest fashion stores in London, with many influencers wearing their clothing, such as Emma Louise Connolly. Free People is the place for the bohemian aesthetic that features the latest’s trends and many vintage collections. Although more on the expensive side, if you are anything like me you pick clothes that you'll love for a long time, therefore making each item you buy almost like an investment. Sometimes buying less is the best and buying a few expensive items over the years is the only way to develop your wardrobe. At the moment I can’t think of a better time to make an investment into loungewear, which we're all currently living in. If you’re looking for a bohemian vibe throughout your lockdown, I would definitely suggest checking out Free people.
If you’re looking for more of a minimalistic vibe, the latest trend of 2021 than H&M is the place. Not only does H&M embodied the minimalist aesthetic but they are also one of the few high street brands that is working to better themselves. H&M have recently added a sustainability section to their website, which is a helpful guide when spending your money. As well as this they are working on educating others with their blogs on sustainably and how we can better all our wardrobes. Their chic minimalist loungewear is the perfect addition to your wardrobe, because not only is it sustainable and fashionable, but it also is good value in price and quite cheap which is rare for sustainable items. So, if you’re looking for more of a minimalist look, I would defiantly check out H&M.
One of the biggest growing tracksuit brands is Iets Frans known for its unique tie-dye patterns and their ability to work both for in and outdoor wear. Although not cheap the brand is extremely in at the moment and the clothing is great quality. I know most of my tracksuit the last few months have come from here and I live in them and they are still in great condition. They also have lots of variation going from the bright out their tie-dye pattern to a minimalist outlook. If you are wanting some comfy tracksuits to live in this lockdown defiantly check out Iets Frans.
Another great sustainable brand is Limpet, which is a unique brand which expresses bright and vibrant colours and cute artistic patterns on there clothing, making each piece unique and personal. They are around the same price as Iets Frans but are completely opposite in their style and values. You can also buy their clothing for the high street shop Skinny dip. If you are looking for an eccentric vibrant loungewear Limpet is the place to go.
Finally, if you are going for the more natural/nature trend than you should check out Big Wild Thought. This sustainable brand prides themselves on the idea that people should wear and care at the same time. The site allows you to pick a chosen animal and it applies it to the clothing you want. This adds a personal touch and allows you to reflect your favourite part of the natural species. The site sells a wide Variety of jumpers and donates 10% of every sale to wildlife charities. If you are looking for a cute and personal way to look in lockdown defiantly visit Big Wild Thought.
I believe that shopping for loungewear can bring a bit of excitement to the everyday boring lockdown. So until next Monday try to bring a bit of excitement into your daily life and stay positive.
