Your ride or dye

Something fantastic that has come from this pandemic is the growth in small businesses. Not only has this given people a passion but it has brought a new outlook to fashion allowing us to shop from unique brands that are different to the normal high street brands. Also, a wiser way to spend your money in these times, support small and local businesses instead of your global brands and find unique styles which elevate your wardrobe.

One such small business is Your ride or dye, created by 21-year-old Georgia Roberts whose main focus is to create unique and authentic custom-made tie-dye loungewear and accessories. Georgia decided to create her brand due to the popularity for tie-dye loungewear from big global brands such as Iets Frans. She first started to make her own because of the excessive cost from theses big high street brands, and as a uni student on a budget she found a cheap and fun way to create her own. This led to her making her own brand and helping other students buy the latest trends on a budget. Most products are 100% cotton made; however, Georgia not only makes her own clothes, but she prides herself on upcycling her customers old clothes. Her brand tries to influence customers to upcycle old and stained clothes or just some clothes that you’ve grown bored of. Not only is this a cheaper way to spend your money but this also is the sustainable option, rather than throwing away why not reinvent your clothes while helping the environment.

This businesses values that each item is unique to each customer, making fashion a bit more personal for each of us and unlike the high street which is impersonal in comparison. Not only this but Georgia says that through her small business she is able to create a relationship with each customer. Since she started her business, she has had many customers ordering from all other Surrey, but her biggest achievement is that one of her customers was nonother than Harry Potter star Tom Felton, making him the first of many celebrities to support her brand. The reason Georgia’s brand is different to most is that each item is tailor made to each customer and it focuses on rebranding your current wardrobe by upcycling which I believe is the new way to update your wardrobe. I’m a big supporter of this brand and have quite a few items that I have lived in throughout my lockdown and loved. From my own experience I know how each item creates a personal relationship with the seller. And if you are looking for loungewear on a budget this is definitely the place for you.

Lockdown pushed lots of people to create something new and different and Your ride or dye is one of the many small businesses that has come from it. Until next Monday stay positive and make sure that you go and check out Your ride or dye.

As the company is currently doing its biggest giveaways yet.
